What is Tarot

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each with its own imagery, symbolism and story. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent life’s karmic and spiritual lessons, and the 56 Minor Arcana cards reflect the trials and tribulations that we experience on a daily basis. The most popular original Tarot deck is the Rider Waite, illustrated by Pamela Colman – Smith and most modern Tarot readers have trained in this deck – but some use other decks alongside or have a specific deck they work with.

Tarot will not predict the future but is a doorway into understanding the intricacies of a situation – whether that be current or in the past. Tarot is not fortune-telling but is a method of using cards with intuition to analyse situations and can be helpful in creating your way to manifest your goals. Different Tarot readers pull on different methods to interpret the cards. On this site we offer practitioners each with their own unique way of explaining the Tarot cards in front of them.

What is Shamanism

Shamanism is the oldest faith known to mankind and originates from Siberia – the word Shamen is taken from the Evenk language meaning “he or she who knows”. Not strictly defined as a religion Shamanism is prolific worldwide from Central America to Tibet, and Shamanism is an ancient healing tradition and moreover, a way of life . Shamanism is a worldview based on the belief that everything is connected and the Universal spiritual wisdom inherent to all indigenous cultures and stemming from nature itself. A Shaman provides the link between the human and the spiritual world – And believes in treating the whole person- by treating ailments of the soul they assume that the body will heal and bring itself back into balance.

A Shaman will work with spirit guides and power animals and enter a visionary or dreamlike state. By taking a person into another dimension old wounds and beliefs are released and healed. Shamanism is like tapping into a vast fund of ancient knowledge to enable humans to deal with past trauma. The huge rise of Shamanism’s Popularity in the west resonates with people’s ideas of ecological, spiritual and physical balance being intertwined.
We offer different aspects of Shamanism on our platform.

What is Paganism

Paganism predates Christianity and is a way of life that honours nature, the seasons, the solar system and cycles of life, striving to live in harmony with the Earth. Worshipping many different gods and goddesses, the heart of the Pagan revolves around everything being connected and all things containing their own duality of male/ female power. To be a Pagan is to live within the parameters of nature within its boundaries – hence the importance of the Pagan calendar – The ancient craft of witches derives from the words wicca-craft and as healers, herbalists, nature lovers they were a part of the Pagan tradition – known as hedge witches, wise women, cunning men they were a vital part of small communities in ancient times and the forerunners of modern day Wicca.

We show the Pagan Wheel on the website as so much of modern spirituality is tied into these movements of nature, the moon and the planets. Planetary harmony and discourse being reflected in our own earthly existence. As is above, so it is below.

What is Wicca

Wicca is a form of ancient magic deriving from Paganism. It was introduced by Gerald Gardener in England in 1954. In common with other Pagan practices, it encourages personal development through experience without a rigid hierarchical structure.
Wicca follows various traditions and paths and generally worships the dual aspect of divinity usually in the form of the Mother Goddess and the Horned God (normally antlers). Wicca is nothing to do with the occult.
The moral code of wicca was “An-it Harm None- Do What ye Will” .Wicca is a more ritualistic approach to older witchcraft and folk magic practices and brought to the public after the repeal of the Witchcraft Act in 1951. Wicca is practiced extensively in the west now using herbs, candles, incense on modern “alters”.

Wicca can be used for creating spells, changing energies, clearing unwanted entities and is always of the light.

What is mediumship

A medium is an individual who acts as a channel (or “medium”) between the physical and non-physical or spirit plane.
Mediumship is a way of describing conversations with non-physical people. A mediumship reading can be done on a one-to-one basis or in large groups – but the aim of both is to channel spirits of people that have passed, recognised by the sitter.

The genuine medium will give a concise account of cause of death a physical description and, most importantly, a message for the sitter. The quality of the information is the crux of an experienced and accurate medium. During a reading a medium will increase their vibrational activity to match the frequency of the spiritual plane – and is able to access information through five “clairs” – sight, sound, touch, scent, emotion (or inner knowing).

Psychic

A pure psychic is an individual believed to possess innate extrasensory perception (ESP) abilities, enabling them to access information beyond the ordinary senses without the aid of external tools like tarot cards or astrology charts. Such persons claim to tap directly into spiritual, ethereal, or universal energy fields to perceive events, emotions, and information about a person’s past, present, or future. Pure psychics often exhibit talents such as clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing), and clairsentience (clear feeling). Believers in pure psychics value their abilities for offering comfort, closure, and guidance.

What are the Angelic Realms

Angels seem to have been within our human consciousness throughout the world as far back as the written word can document. They transcend religion and most of the New Age Movement is based on channelling through spirit guides and angels.

Angels are seen as protectors, messengers and healers and occasionally our destroyers (the fallen angel). They flow though our collective psyche through all recorded civilisations – and they are most prominent in the worlds three main monotheistic religions Islam, Christianity and Judaism. The ancient Greeks called them “daemons”, the Buddhists Deva’s Christianity connects with the 4 main archangels – Michael, Raphael, Uriel and Gabriel – who are the 3rd sphere of the Angelic hierarchy – A messenger from “god” to humans.

While angels are assigned to help us with our everyday lives (we are all assigned a guardian angel at birth) these archangels are more powerful and connect us with the spiritual realms

What is animal communication?

Animal communication encompasses either animals in the spirit world or in the living. Those in the spirit world are reached through psychic mediumship (please refer to description above).

Those in the living world are accessed through purely psychic means, giving messages to the communicator for the owner. Both types can be accessed through a photograph.

What are Runes

Runes are a semi pictoral alphabetic system used by the Germanic and Northern Scandinavian people before they adopted the Latin alphabet. Appearing in three main forms; the Elder Futhark (the oldest version), Younger Futhark and the Anglo-Saxon Futhork. Because of its semi pictoral nature the characters not only were used together to make words but had/have their own stand alone meaning. They were used for many things such as calling upon the gods in times of need, adding strength or other abilities to weaponry, healing amulets as well as protection over buildings and live stock. Along side their magickal uses they were also used for “rune casting” or fortune telling meaning they predate Tarot by several centuries. Standard 24 Elder Futhark characters are engraved, usually onto stone or clay and placed in a bag, occasionally with a 25th blank stone. The reader will enquire on the behalf of the claimant and then either pick out or scatter the stones over a flat surface. Reading the Runes creates a direct connection between the client and psyche along with the intuition of the reader to analyse situations and bring about change. While not too dissimilar to Tarot, Rune readings tend to be show more direction with their information and are less symbolic.

What are the Lenormand cards

Lenormand is a 200 year old divination and self exploration deck consisting of 36 cards. Not dissimilar to Tarot , it started as a parlour game and then grew in popularity. The Cards are used in pairs, groups or the whole deck at once, with the aim of self-development and exploration. Each card influences the one that came before it and are dealt in straight lines or grids and then cross referenced against each other usually from a central point representing the client. The symbolism of the cards is built around common place events making the readings frank and sometimes candid covering real life experiences and exchanges. Unlike Tarot the pulling and reading methods are fairly consistent across most practitioners , however where they really come to life is with the intuition and enquiring mind of the reader.

What is Reiki

Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word “Reiki” is derived from two Japanese words: “rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which means life energy or vital force. Together, they signify the universal life energy that flows through all living beings. At its core, Reiki operates on the belief that energy flows within and around our bodies, influencing our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When this energy becomes disrupted or blocked, it can manifest as illness, stress, or emotional imbalance. Reiki aims to restore balance and harmony to the body by channelling and directing this life force energy. During a Reiki session, a practitioner acts as a conduit for the universal energy, allowing it to flow through their hands and into the recipient’s (normally fully clothed) body. As the energy flows, sensations of warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation have been observed. Sometimes emotional release or clarity is experienced as stagnant energy is released and balance is restored. Reiki also encourages a connection with the inner self and a means to cultivate a deeper understanding of emotions, thoughts, and beliefs. Overall, Reiki offers a gentle yet powerful approach to healing and well-being, addressing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is also used on animals and can be very beneficial. We offer both reiki healing and reiki animal healing on our website.
